Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Live within a 35-mile radius of Nauticus
- Submit a photo and address of the home being entered
- Own or reside at the property entered into the contest
Entries will be accepted from July 15 through August 15, 2026.
Please ensure that any files submitted meet the following specifications:
- Accepted Filetypes: JPG, JPEG, JPE, and PNG
- Maximum Dimensions: 2048 pixels (width and height)
- Resolution: 72 DPI
- Filesize Limit: 20 MB
Winterfest Great Light Sweepstakes – Official Rules
The Winterfest Great Light Sweepstakes begins at 9 a.m. on July 15, 2026, and ends at 5 p.m. on August 15, 2026.
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents who:
- Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- Own or reside at the home submitted for consideration.
- Live within a 35-mile radius of Nauticus, located in Norfolk, Virginia.
- Submit a valid home address and photograph of the residence during the entry process.
Employees and immediate family members of Nauticus, Blue Steel Lighting, and any/all other Winterfest contractors are not eligible to participate.
During the Sweepstakes Period, complete the online entry form and submit:
- Your name and contact information
- Home address
- A current photo of your residence
- Your social media handles if you would like extra entries through sharing
Limit one entry per household through online form. For additional entries, share the post on social media.
One (1) winner will receive:
- A professional holiday lighting installation provided by Blue Steel Lighting, valued at up to $2,500
- Winterfest “Golden Ticket” providing complimentary admission for four guests throughout the entire 2026 Winterfest season
The holiday lighting installation includes up to $2,500 in services, materials, and labor provided by Blue Steel Lighting.
If the winner requests lighting, or enhancements exceeding the $2,500 value, the winner may elect to purchase those additional items directly from Blue Steel Lighting at their own expense.
The prize has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash or substituted except at the discretion of the sponsors.
Eligible entries will be added to a random generator to choose one winner. The winner will be notified using the contact information provided.
Failure to respond within the specified timeframe 48 hours from notification may result in selection of an alternate winner.
The winning property must be suitable for professional holiday lighting installation. Blue Steel Lighting reserves the right to determine installation feasibility and may modify installation plans based on property conditions, safety concerns, homeowner association requirements, or other factors.
By entering, participants grant Nauticus and Blue Steel Lighting permission to use their name, likeness, submitted photographs, and images or video of the installation for promotional, marketing, and public relations purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Nauticus reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes if circumstances beyond its control interfere with the administration, security, or proper operation of the promotion.
